Troubleshooting
Handle invalid files, import problems, permissions, and incompatible engines.
Wallet inspection fails
Confirm that the file is an intact backup from the intended wallet application. Check the wallet version and compatibility entry. Do not rename a random file to wallet.dat to force detection.
If the format is unsupported, prepare a format request using public format information only. Never attach your real wallet.
Dictionary is empty or import fails
Confirm the file is plain text and uses one candidate per line. Check file permissions, encoding, and import warnings. Verify that the reported entry count is reasonable without sending the dictionary to anyone.
GPU or permissions error
Check the supported driver and compute-engine requirements. If GPU processing is unavailable, use CPU when supported. Do not run an unknown binary as administrator or root merely to bypass an error.
Choose a file location the application can legitimately read. Follow the published release instructions for installation permissions.
No password found
Review compatibility, skipped candidates, and your candidate choices. Preserve the original wallet backup. A new dictionary is a new search, not a guaranteed solution.
Never share recovery phrases, private keys, wallet passwords, wallet files, or password dictionaries. Prepare a sanitized support report if you need help.
